COURSES
We run several courses at different times throughout the year to help people grow, learn, and develop further in all that God has for them. Some courses, like Academy, are a multi-year commitment.
ALPHA COURSE
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.
Run over eleven weeks, each session looks at a different question about faith and is designed to create conversation. It is an open, informal and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.
- Is there more to life than this?
- Who is Jesus? Why did he die?
- Why and how do I pray?
- Why and how do I read the Bible?
- Evil & Healing: What about evil & does God heal today?
What does Alpha look like?
Each Alpha night includes the following three things: food, a talk and great conversations.
- Food – Eat together and get to know each other
- Alpha Talk – A short video talk.
- Discussion – A conversation in small groups on the relevant topic.

DISCIPLE COURSE
Course structure
There will be ten evening sessions and a Saturday away day.
Each session will include a mix of teaching, small group discussion and personal ministry, so that each participant can apply the teaching to themselves and their lives.

ACADEMY
Academy is a training course for men and women called by God to have significant influence in his church through leadership.
The minimum entry requirement is that you are a member and committed attender of your local church. We would expect most people attending Academy to be serving in some sort of leadership capacity already and may give preference to those who are if we have more applicants than available places.
We believe that God uses ordinary men and women to do extraordinary things for him by the power of His Word and His Spirit. We encourage you to consider applying for the New Ground Academy and to allow us to develop you into the church leader or church shaper God has called you to be.

A Two-Year Bible Reading Plan
18x Home Study Modules – video teachings focused on helping you learn the Bible
18x Mid-Week Evening Sessions with Local Church Mentors – for support, questions and discussion
18x All-Day Saturday Sessions with all churches – focused on developing leadership skills, key cultural topics, etc.
