Redeemer has started a new congregation in Delft! From January 2017 Redeemer International Church, Delft has Sunday meetings in the Free Academy of Arts building (Westvest 9), and you are invited!
We are so thankful for the many people who have supported and prayed for this initiative to plant a new gospel-centred and multiplying congregation in this great city. We are full of faith and expectant that God is doing and will do great things in Delft.
Why a new international church in Delft?
Delft is only a short distance from The Hague but it is a city in its own right with over 100 000 residents. It is both a strategic and beautiful city that we have had in our thoughts and prayers for some time. There is incredible potential for a Gospel-centred and vibrant international church to have great impact for the Gospel in the city and beyond. Quite a number of people came through to Redeemer in The Hague on a Sunday from Delft, who are now part of the new international church in Delft.
We believe that God has called us to start a church in Delft that will effectively share and live out the good news of Jesus with the many, many people that are currently far away from God.
Apart from the many people from around the world who work in Delft’s ‘knowledge-based’ companies, there are over 20 000 students (more than 3000 of them coming from outside the Netherlands) in the city. TU (Delft’s main university) is one of the top engineering universities in the world.
We are very aware that Redeemer is only a part of what God is already doing in the city through other great churches. Our desire is to get along side these churches in reaching those who do not know Jesus.
We look forward to seeing you!
